At the annual West African Youth Awareness Cycling Race Against Trafficking of Human Beings and Sex Tourism, staff and volunteers distribute materials and disseminate information regarding human trafficking and illegal migration flow, particularly to women and children, who are usually the most vulnerable to trafficking.

Sub Saharan African Experts and Key Leaders Round Table Summit Human Trafficking and Responsible Travel and Tourism.

In 2007, ATO’s advocacy office in Washington D.C. invited the Author of “Slave”, Mende Nazer, to a book signing event.

Nazer’s book gives a personal account of survival from forced labor and human trafficking. Her book was presented at the Trinity Catholic University, Washington D.C., and promoted to staff, students, and an audience which included representatives from International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank, and other anti–trafficking Organizations.

The 17th Annual Brufut Marathon campaign will be launched on Tuesday 6th December 2011 at the Sheraton Hotel, in Brufut, the Gambia from 12:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

The Campaign embraces the purposes of the UN.GIFT programme to fight trafficking in persons, as well as recommendations of the African Union which calls for implementation of the Ouagadougou Action Plan.
